Job Title: Fire & Security Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire & Security Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of a wide range of fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, and Wi-Fi systems across commercial sites. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, and maintain fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional).
• Carry out installation, commissioning, and servicing of intruder alarms, CCTV systems (IP & analogue), access control, and Wi-Fi systems.
• Diagnose and rectify system faults efficiently and effectively.
• Conduct routine maintenance and testing in line with industry standards.
• Complete all relevant documentation, reports, and certificates accurately.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and colleagues to ensure projects are delivered to specification and deadlines.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients on system operation and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements at all times.
• Participate in an on-call rota for emergency callouts (where applicable).

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire and security systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV (IP & analogue), and access control.
• Experience with Wi-Fi networks and connectivity solutions (desirable).
• Ability to work with a variety of manufacturers’ equipment.
• Full UK Driving Licence (required).
• ECS/CSCS card, FIA qualifications, IPAF/PASMA (desirable).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
