Job Title: Fire & Security Engineer Supervisor

Overview
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Fire & Security Engineer Supervisor to lead and support our engineering team. The successful candidate will oversee the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and Wi-Fi systems, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role combines hands-on technical work with supervisory responsibilities, making it ideal for a skilled engineer looking to step into a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Fire & Security Engineers, providing guidance, training, and technical support.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor workloads to ensure efficient delivery of projects and service calls.
- Conduct site surveys, risk assessments.
- Carry out hands-on technical work where required, including fault-finding and diagnostics.
- Monitor quality of work, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
- Act as a main point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers regarding technical and project matters.
- Ensure accurate completion of documentation, reports, timesheets, and certification.
- Support management with performance reviews, training needs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and safe working practices across all sites.
- Participate in and oversee the on-call rota for emergency callouts.
Skills & Experience
- Strong technical background in fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Proven experience in supervising or mentoring engineers (team leader or supervisory experience desirable).
- Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturers’ systems.
- Excellent understanding of industry standards
- Full UK Driving Licence (required).
- ECS/CSCS card, FIA qualifications, IPAF/PASMA (advantageous).
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
