I am looking for an Electronics Engineer for a 6-month contract to support the development of a new hardware product. Working closely with the embedded, mechanical and industrial design teams, you will take ownership of electronics schematic and PCB layout design from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electronics schematics and PCB layouts in Altium, taking designs from concept to manufacture
• Own high-density PCB layout including BGA components
• Design, test and validate power systems (including USB-C Power Delivery) and high-speed digital interfaces (e.g. USB 2.0, MIPI-CSI)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical and industrial design teams
• Perform design verification, validation and compliance prescans
• Work with contract manufacturers to ensure designs are manufacturable, testable and cost-optimised
• Design to meet EMC, ESD and electrical safety requirements

Key Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in electronic hardware design
• Strong hands-on experience with microcontrollers, power management, MOSFETs, op-amps and high-speed interfaces
• Proven ownership of schematics and PCB layout in Altium for complex, high-density designs
• Experience designing for manufacture, test, cost optimisation and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams
• Clear communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
