Your New Role

We are working with a fast growing electronics organisation, based in Thatcham who are looking for an experienced special effects engineer to join their team. The roles responsibilities include the design and build of mechanical and electromechanical prototypes, developing custom rigs, test environments and physical simulations. You will be key in interpreting concepts and translating them into physical working solutions. It is a highly collaborative role, where you will work closely with engineers, designers and technical teams.

Ensuring Your Success

Ideally, you will come from a film, special effects or creative engineering background, with strong hands on build capabilities. Demonstrable experience in mechanical fabrication, strong problem solving skills and a sound knowledge of basic electronics are also essential within the role. Other desirables, would include experience with Animatronics, Pyrotechnics and simulation rigs. In terms of personality, you will be an ambitious individual looking to fast track your career, with the ability to work effectively as an individual, as well as, within a team.
