I am working with a Tech4Good company that is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to support the development of their revolutionary technology to support the Agri-Tech industry. The technology developed is across AI, Robotics, Electronics and Embedded Software, offering a combination of challenges to enjoy. My client is based in Reading and works on a hybrid model.

In this role as the Senior Software Engineer, you will be joining a small team of engineers where you will have a strong influence on the development of both the existing platform, future tools and features. You will be able to assess and choose the best technologies for the project, alongside being involved in the design, development and delivery of them. You will help guide and mentor junior members of the team and turn your hands to the architecture, DevOps and full lifecycle development.

For this role, I am looking for:

Degree in computer science or a relevant engineering discipline

5+ years of industry Software Engineering experience

Python or C++ Programming experience

Experience using machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, Numpy, Pandas, Tensorflow

Knowledge of Computer Vision software and tools; OpenCV, etc

AWS

Beneficial experience:

Use of embedded microcontrollers/IDEs, e.g. Raspberry Pi, Okdo, Tinker Edge R

Experience in coaching and mentoring junior engineers or leading a product development team

Industry experience in Robotics, Med-Tech, Agricultural or Electronics products
