The Role

You'll take ownership of the organisation's Business Intelligence capability, leading the Data & MI team while overseeing the transition from legacy Cognos reporting to a modern Microsoft Azure environment. Acting as Enterprise Data Owner, you'll drive data governance, improve data quality and ensure reporting solutions are accurate, scalable and aligned with business objectives. Working closely with Finance, IT, Data Engineering and senior stakeholders, you'll translate complex business requirements into meaningful insight through Power BI, Azure Data Lake, Databricks and SQL, whilst championing best practice across reporting, analytics and data management. Alongside leading transformation initiatives, you'll mentor your team, promote continuous improvement and help establish a future-ready data function that delivers real commercial value.

About You

You'll be an experienced Business Intelligence and data professional with a strong background in Power BI, SQL, data modelling and modern Azure technologies, including Databricks and Azure Data Factory. You'll have experience leading teams, developing reporting strategies and embedding data governance within complex organisations. Confident communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, you'll be comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments where you can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Experience with Cognos, Finance reporting and enterprise data transformation programmes would be highly advantageous.

Ensuring Success

Success in this role will come from your ability to build a trusted, scalable and well-governed data capability that enables better business decisions across the organisation. You'll inspire and develop your team while modernising reporting, improving data quality and delivering high-quality insight that supports Finance and wider business functions. By combining technical expertise with strong leadership and commercial awareness, you'll ensure reporting solutions are reliable, reusable and aligned with long-term business strategy, helping to create a culture where data is recognised as a key business asset.

What's on Offer

This is an opportunity to join a major data transformation programme where you'll have genuine influence over the future direction of Business Intelligence and enterprise data. You'll work with modern Microsoft technologies in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment that offers hybrid working, excellent career development opportunities and the chance to make a lasting impact on how data is managed and used across the business.
